DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, July 25\, 10 a.m.\n \nUPPER ARROYO SECO \nWe’ll walk
  into the watershed area\, through the willows and waterways\,  and see th
 e diverse flora\, with WILD FOODS\,   EDIBLE CALIFORNIA PLANTS.  We will l
 earn about the wild foods\, wild medicines\, and some uses of the yucca pl
 ant. \n  \n  \nDuring our walk\, we’ll learn about the unique riparian pla
 nts\, and the uses of the many plants we’ll see.  We’ll see the alders\, m
 ulefat\, mugwort\,  willow\, etc. There are many other riparian plants\, w
 hich we may or may not see\, depending on the conditions. \nRuther examine
 s the yucca flower\nThere are always lots of surprises in store on these s
 orts of walks. We see native California plants\, non-native introduced pla
 nts\, and various wildlife. \nBring your own water\, and dress comfortably
 .  Bring a bowl for a salad \nThis walk can be applied towards the Ethnobo
 tany certificate. \n  \nLocation sent with registration$65  ($45 student/s
 enior). \n  \nBooks by Nyerges will be available\, as will knives and othe
