Bobbin Lace: Inspiration & Process

Gathering Online / virtual

Tuesday, June 2 ~ 7:00pm-8:00pm EST Have you been curious about bobbin lace but feeling intimidated to dive in? Or have you wondered how to take your skills to the next level, or where to find inspiration for original designs in bobbin lace? Join lacemaker and historian Elena Kanagy-Loux as she walks you through a demonstration of an in-progress bobbin lace project. She will discuss her own journey as a lacemaker over 14 years, how she developed and honed her skills, and how she conceives of projects based on historical and contemporary themes. This demonstration will offer a sneak piece into a new project that will be unveiled at the World Lace Festival in Poland in August. Cost: $25 This demonstration will be conducted live as a Zoom Meeting. Participants will have video and audio access so they can ask questions and interact during the live demonstration. Participants will receive an email from Peters Valley at least 48 hours prior that includes a link and a password. Only registered participants will be admitted.  Peters Valley records online programs and shares them with registered participants as a non-downloadable link for one month following the live event.
