Tuesday, June 9 ~ 7:00pm-8:00pm EST In this one-hour virtual session, participants will learn the fundamentals of flush setting round gemstones in both metal and wax. We will cover proper measurement of gemstones and burr selection to ensure an accurate seat, followed by clear, step-by-step instruction on setting the stone securely and burnishing the metal for a clean, professional finish. Emphasis will be placed on tool control, accuracy, and developing an understanding of how the setting process works. While a basic foundation in stone setting is helpful, it is not required; this session is structured to support both newer and developing makers. Gemstone setting is a skill built through knowledge, practice, and patience, and this workshop is designed to strengthen technique and build confidence at the bench. Cost: $25 This demonstration will be conducted live as a Zoom Meeting. Participants will have video and audio access so they can ask questions and interact during the live demonstration. Participants will receive an email from Peters Valley at least 48 hours prior that includes a link and a password. Only registered participants will be admitted. Peters Valley records online programs and shares them with registered participants as a non-downloadable link for one month following the live event.
