Prerequisites
Must be 18 years or older, physically fit to hike 5-10 miles daily with 20 lbs gear, basic survival knowledge recommended, mental readiness for rugged conditions required
What to bring
Fixed-blade knife, fire-starting materials, water containers, nylon poncho/tarp, emergency blanket or bivvy sack, headlamp with batteries, 50 ft paracord, first aid kit, tent/hammock/sleep system, food (max 5000 calories), hiking boots, wool layers, bandanas, water filtration system
